'Last of the melting snow' is a series of one-off work that follows a family of penguins as they embark on a journey of discovery and wonder. These quirky striking pieces were influenced by Beverley's time spent in Finland watching the winter melt into spring. Her use of porcelain combined with her distinctive original glaze is evocative of melting snow and a watery landscape. The tiny penguin figures capture a sense of loss and of not belonging. They view the world they find themselves in with a quizzical eye.
